Shanxi Provincial Education Department recently approved the recognition of seven provincial-level modern industry colleges.

These colleges, which are the second batch recognized by the provincial department, are set up around key industrial chains and characteristic professional towns. 

They include the Alumina and Magnesium New Materials Industry College and the New Energy Vehicle Industry College at North University of China, the Xinghuacun College at Shanxi University, the Vinegar Industry College at Shanxi Agricultural University, and the Concrete Admixture Industry College at Yuncheng University. 

Up to now, Shanxi has recognized 15 provincial-level modern industry colleges. 

The department requires these colleges to use educational and teaching reforms to support their development, and explore integrated talent cultivation paths through curriculum and textbook development, school-enterprise cooperation, as well as further assessment and evaluation.
