Jinzhong National Agricultural High-tech Industries Demonstration Zone based in North China's Shanxi province recently exported its first goods.
On June 29, a truck carrying 25 metric tons of yellow millet departed from the Smart Farm Demonstration Base in the zone bound for Thailand.
The zone bears the important mission of leading the development of agriculture in Shanxi and the entire country.
To promote the high-quality development of the zone, the city of Jinzhong established a company to be responsible for its construction and operation in June 2022.
With a focus on expanding the international market, the company selected more than 10 varieties of organic dryland crops and conducted multiple rounds of negotiations with international traders.
Ultimately, it signed a sales agreement for 1,000 tons of yellow millet with a Thai import trader, as the product is highly recognized by the Thai clients.
Yun Weihua, chairman of the company, said the company will focus on integrating the supply chain, diversifying product categories, improving quality, and continuously strengthening the sales network, in order to promote the zone's international trade of agricultural products.
