Shanxi province's authority recently issued a trial catalog for supporting the development of local strategic emerging industries. 

The catalog is based on the local industrial foundation, resources and development trends, and clarifies the specific products and services supported by the province's strategic emerging industries.

The strategic emerging industries stipulated in the catalog are those that play a leading role in local development, with intensive knowledge technology, great growth potential, and comprehensive benefits.

These cover eight major fields, such as the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biology, new energy vehicles, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and digital creative industries.

The catalog is valid for two years starting June 8.
