Shanxi-born athlete wins gold at intl gymnastics event

Zhao Yating from North China's Shanxi province won a gold medal for the Chinese team at the 14th Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships which was held in Manila, the Philippines from May 31 to June 3.
In the individual ribbon final, Zhao won the gold medal with 31.450 points. The Chinese rhythmic gymnastics team performed well at the championships, winning a total of four golds and three bronzes.
Zhao Yating, born in Yuncheng city, also claimed third place in the individual all-around at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, and pocketed four golds in the adult individual events at the 2019 Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships, creating the best result in the Chinese team's history.
