A Chinese wrestling competition was held in Daixian county of Shanxi province on May 28-29, as part of public sports events of the 16th provincial games.

Chinese wrestling is one of the oldest traditional sports in China, featuring complicated strategies and movements. 

The competition was broken down into two age groups. Group A included six weight levels for men and four for women, while Group B had eight weight levels for men and six for women. 

Group A participants were aged 19-50 while Group B contestants were younger at 15 to 18 years of age. 

During the two-day competition, 175 male and 75 female participants from 10 cities in the province competed with each other for 24 gold medals. 

The team from Xinzhou, a city famous for wrestling, emerged as the biggest winner, bagging gold medals in eight weight levels.
