The ongoing Chinese cultural month in North China's Shanxi province has been attracting crowds of visitors to further understand the province's colorful cultural landscapes.

The event, sponsored by the Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism, was launched on May 19 and will last until June 21.

At the launch ceremony in Datong, three Chinese-style culturally themed travel routes were unveiled, along with an avatar or cultural and tourism virtual promoter for Shanxi. These all showcase the province's history, cultural relics, ancient architecture, and natural scenery.

Various activities have been organized for this cultural month, such as Chinese-style performing arts, hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) shows, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, cultural creative fairs, travel routes, Chinese-style parades, and cultural IP releases, offering visitors a traditional cultural feast with Shanxi characteristics.

Before June 21, visitors dressed in Chinese traditional costumes can tour more than 40 scenic spots in 11 cities across the province with discounted tickets.
