Shanxi conducts investment promotions in Europe

A delegation from North China's Shanxi province went to Germany, Austria and France on April 16-22 to carry out a series of investment promotions. 

From April 16 to 17, the representatives of 18 participating enterprises displayed more than 50 kinds of products at the Hannover Messe in Germany. These products cover the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials for special steel and special metals, hydrogen fuel, new energy, and digital technology. 

The delegation organized and hosted the China-German (Shanxi) Investment Cooperation and Exchange Conference in Munich, Germany, on April 18. More than 50 entrepreneurs from Fortune Global 500 enterprises, representatives from multinational enterprises, and industry leaders attended the conference. 

At the conference, representatives from the Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau promoted Shanxi's business environment and its key industries. Representatives from Shanxi-based energy enterprises also participated in discussions and exchanges on new energy transformation cooperation. 

On April 19, the Shanxi delegation held a discussion meeting with the Austria-China Relations Promotion Association in Vienna, Austria. The two sides said that they will continue to strengthen economic and trade communication, exchanges and cooperation. They will also jointly promote the in-depth development of China-Austria relations. 

On April 20, the delegation held the China-France (Shanxi) Investment Cooperation and Exchange Conference in Paris, France, with over 40 representatives from French enterprises present. 

The provincial government departments of Shanxi and officials from the cities of Changzhi, Jincheng and Yuncheng in the province made keynote presentations during this investment conference, focusing on the global cooperation in energy transformation, industrial transformation and sustainable development.

During the one-week promotion tour, the Shanxi delegation also visited key business associations and enterprises in the three involved countries. The Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with Chinaforum Bayern e.V. and the Austria-China Relations Promotion Association. Additionally, the German representative office of the bureau was also established.
