The Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology announced a plan for Shanxi province's development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry chain in 2023 on April 11. 

Focusing on rail transit and coal machinery equipment, Shanxi will accelerate efforts to improve the high-end equipment manufacturing industry chain and strive to ensure that the operating revenue of the entire industrial chain will exceed 88 billion yuan ($12.81 billion) by the end of 2023. 

The province will support the improvement of industrial chain enterprise management, market development, and product optimization, and promote in-depth cooperation among equipment enterprises, so as to develop more competitive enterprises in the high-end equipment manufacturing sector. 

The Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology will also provide enterprises with financial matchmaking services, production and demand matchmaking, talent introduction, and expert consultation.
