The Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government held a symposium on Shanxi-Belarus cooperation on March 30 in North China's Shanxi province. 

Provincial government departments and representatives of enterprises in the province attended the symposium. 

The office gave a brief introduction of Belarus to those in attendance, while other government departments introduced their cooperation efforts between Shanxi and Belarus in the fields of education, science and technology, agriculture, economy and trade, cultural tourism, and health. 

The progress on the construction of the China-Belarus "Belt and Road" joint laboratory, and the operation of Shanxi-Belarus China Railway Express freight trains were reported by the 33rd Institute of China Electronic Technology Group Corporation and Shanxi Jinou Logistics Co. 

Ma Xiaomin, deputy director of the office, said that Shanxi will strengthen pragmatic cooperation with Belarus in various fields, promote the construction of a new inland hub, as well as establish friendly province-state relations between Shanxi and Brest Region in Belarus.
