The ninth China-Europe freight train of North China's Shanxi province in 2023 departed for Russia from the province's Zhongding Logistics Park on March 24.
The train, loaded with 794.78 metric tons of polyester non-woven fabrics, food additives, bakery equipment, ceramic tableware, diesel generators, and daily necessities, will leave the country through the port of Manzhouli in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
As of March 24, the China-Europe freight train departing from Shanxi had made a total of 663 trips.
Since the establishment of Shanxi Jinou Logistics Co in December 2017, it has opened 10 regular freight train lines to 28 cities in 13 Eurasian countries, including major countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. These lines contribute to the construction of an important logistics and trade channel connecting the province with main border ports and the Eurasian continent.
Through the freight train, the company is set to play a leading role in building international logistics channels to further boost China-Russia cooperation and development.
