Dong Xiaolin, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government, met with Liao Zhiguo, vice-president of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association in Negeri Sabah, on March 16 in North China's Shanxi province.

Dong thanked the association for its contributions to deepening China-Malaysia friendship and promoting exchange and cooperation between Shanxi and Negeri Sabah in Malaysia.

He expressed hope that the association will maintain close contact with Shanxi and help promote the establishment of friendly relations between Shanxi and Negeri Sabah, especially in terms of culture, tourism, trade and economy.

Liao said that he will take advantage of the influence of the association to promote Shanxi to more Malaysian people and promote the friendship and exchanges between the two regions.
