Shanxi delegation to NPC submits 5 motions, 254 suggestions

The Shanxi delegation to the National People's Congress (NPC) has submitted five motions and made 254 suggestions during the first session of the 14th NPC in Beijing, which runs from March 4 to 13.

The five motions include formulating a new law to promote urban and rural community governance, revising the cultural relic protection law, the charity law, and the road traffic safety law, as well as carrying out law enforcement inspections on the prevention and control of infectious diseases law. 

Among the 254 suggestions, seven were submitted in the name of the whole delegation; 52 involve the industry, energy and investment sectors; 43 concern science and technology, education, health, and sports; 29 are related to development plans and the comprehensive economy; and 28 are about agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and water resources. 

In addition, suggestions on trade, transportation, culture and tourism account for 10.6 percent of the total, while those focusing on legislation, social affairs, and public affairs account for 29.6 percent of the total.
