Shanxi province's deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) deliberated on the government work report recently delivered during the two sessions being held in Beijing from March 4-13.

The government work report proposed the development of a high-standard market system and creation of a market-oriented and law-based international business environment.

The NPC deputies from Shanxi said that with the in-depth development of economic globalization, the business environment has increasingly become a competitiveness and obvious productivity.

Chen Xiaojian, Shanxi's NPC deputy and Party secretary of Huangcheng village, suggested streamlining the approval process, implementing online handling, boosting informatization, deepening government-enterprise-bank matchmaking and exchanges, increasing support for small and micro-sized enterprises, implementing the same policy for private enterprises as State-owned enterprises, reducing costs for enterprises, implementing a "zero cost" system for start-ups, and creating a convenient, stable and transparent business environment.

Liu Zheng, a national lawmaker from Shanxi Huaju Law Firm, made suggestions based on his work experience, including optimizing the evaluation index system for the business environment based on the rule of law, allowing more professional institutions and professionals to participate in the construction of a business environment based on the rule of law, and increasing the awareness of relevant laws.

Bai Qirui, another NPC deputy from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, brought suggestions on stimulating and protecting entrepreneurship as well as improving the mechanism for entrepreneurs to participate in the formulation of enterprise-related policies.
