Yuncheng promotes cultural tourism in Quanzhou

The Yuncheng Guangong cultural promotion event was held in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province, on Feb 18 and 19.

The city of Yuncheng in North China's Shanxi province, hometown of Guangong or Guan Yu – an ancient general who is now known as a symbol of loyalty, righteousness and bravery – has the earliest and most well-preserved Chinese temple in honor of Guangong, which attracts tourists from all over the world to come and worship this legendary figure. 

At the promotional event, visitors were treated to special cultural and artistic performances and creative cultural products that showcase Yuncheng's profound culture, historical heritage, and open attitude.

Yanhu district, along with Wanrong and Xiaxian counties, also promoted their cultural tourism projects and preferential investment policies at the event.

Yuncheng and Quanzhou signed contracts on cultural tourism and tourist transportation projects which are worth 2.85 billion yuan ($414.78 million) in total.
