The Shanxi Department of Finance recently allocated 500 million yuan ($728,805.32) in special funds for each of 10 professional industrial towns in North China's Shanxi province in 2023 to accelerate the incubation and development of local leading industries.

The 10 towns are Xinghuacun famous for Fenjiu liquor, Dingxiang county famous for flange, Taigu district famous for malleable cast iron, Wanrong county famous for admixture, Huaren county famous for ceramics, Pingyao county for its beef and polished lacquerware, Qixian county for glassware, Qingxu county for mature vinegar, Shangdang county for traditional Chinese medicine, and Daizhou county for yellow rice wine.

The development of professional industrial towns aims to fully tap into the province's county natural resources, industrial foundation and traditional advantages, which are of great significance to county-leading industries, increasing market entities, employment and industrial transformation.
