The cross-country skiing competition, which is part of the Shanxi Province Games, was held in Jinzhong city on Feb 11 and 12.

The competition included four events: the men's classic cross-country skiing and freestyle cross-country skiing events, and the women's classic cross-country skiing and freestyle cross-country skiing events. This year, teams from Taiyuan, Datong, Xinzhou and Lyuliang participated. 

The team from Datong won the first place in the men's classic and freestyle cross-country skiing races, and the team from Taiyuan won the championship in the women's classic and freestyle cross-country skiing races.

The quadrennial Shanxi Province Games is the largest and most influential comprehensive sports event in Shanxi. 

In recent years, Jinzhong has fully explored its local ice and snow resources, accelerated the promotion of winter sports, and driven the integrated development of ice and snow-based industries.
