Shanxi province clarified its business development plans for 2023 at a provincial business work conference on Jan 31. 

Business development will focus on seven areas, including targeted investment promotions for industrial chains, the upgrading of development zones, consumption expansion and opening-up. 

Shanxi will attract investment and leading business projects related to 10 major industrial chains and professional industrial towns, advance the reform of the investment promotion system and mechanism, and carry out investment promotions targeted at enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Bohai Rim, Yangtze River Delta, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 

It will help enterprises, projects, and resources to gather in local development zones and promote the development of industrial clusters. 

The province will continue to carry out a series of consumption promotion activities, promote the consumption of bulk commodities, accelerate the cultivation of new consumption forms, improve urban commercial systems, build a rural e-town development platform, and integrate the development of the e-commerce system and the express logistics system. 

It will introduce a policy system for building a new inland hub for opening-up, expand market entities in foreign trade, develop new foreign trade formats, increase the scale of imports and exports, and optimize the environment for foreign trade development. 

The mechanism for promoting the development of trade in services will also be improved, while the development of digital trade will be accelerated. 

Relying on local industrial advantages, Shanxi will organize and carry out economic, trade and investment promotion activities and improve foreign investment cooperation service enterprises.
