Annual session of CPPCC Shanxi Committee concludes in Taiyuan

The first session of the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Jan 15. 

A total of 498 members of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee attended the closing plenary.

The plenary passed the resolution of the first session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee on the work report of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, the resolution of the first session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee on the report of the proposals, the report of the Proposal Review Committee of the first session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee on the examination of proposals during the session, and the political resolution of the first session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee.

All members listened to and discussed the government work report delivered by Governor Jin Xiangjun. They also heard and discussed the work report for Shanxi Provincial Higher People's Court, and the work report for Shanxi People's Procuratorate. They generally agreed with and put forward opinions and suggestions, and examined and approved of the work report for the Standing Committee of CPPCC Shanxi Committee.

As of 6 pm on Jan 14, the first session of the 13th CPPCC Provincial Committee had received 869 proposals from members, and filed 736 after examination. 

Among the filed proposals, 484 were submitted by individuals, accounting for 65.76 percent, and 252 were collective proposals. The proposals cover socioeconomic development, politics, culture, and ecological protection.
