Shanxi Coking Coal Xishan Coal Electricity Co based in North China's Shanxi province has been promoting the development and integration of intelligent technology with the coal industry by accelerating intelligent mining over the past three years. 

As of the end of the first half of 2022, the company had completed construction on 15 intelligent comprehensive mining work faces and realized intelligent operation at 65 percent of coal mines. 

The intelligent comprehensive mining work faces offer video surveillance, memory automatic cutting, gas linkage, and collaborative control. Through the construction of intelligent tunneling faces, most of the equipment offers remote control, video surveillance, and personnel approach alarm functions.

The intelligent mining work faces have greatly improved the efficiency and safety of coal mining in the province. 

This year, the company plans to build one intelligent mine, 10 intelligent comprehensive mining faces and 21 intelligent excavation faces in total.
