Shanxi SOEs show development resilience

Statistics from the Shanxi Provincial Department of Finance showed that from January to September this year, State-owned enterprises (SOEs) of Shanxi province have remained resilient despite the occasional COVID-19 disruption, with key economic indicators going up.

Over the period, the total sales revenue of Shanxi's SOEs stood at 1.32 trillion yuan ($181.4 billion), up 9.1 percent year-on-year. Along with that was the slight operational cost increase of provincial enterprises – up 4.94 percent compared with the same period last year.

The expenditure of Shanxi's SOEs in sales promotion, management and financial affairs totaled 131.13 billion yuan, down 1.7 percent.

Meanwhile, the general public budget revenue of the province came in at 270.44 billion yuan over the first three quarters of this year, a surge of 26.1 percent.
