An exhibition showcasing the history of Chinese civilization opened at Shanxi Museum in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi, on Nov 1. 

The exhibition, co-hosted by the Shanxi Cultural Relics Bureau, Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeological Research and Shanxi Museum, includes 240 precious cultural relics, chronologically, and systematically explaining Shanxi's important role in the history of China. 

There will also be a series of related academic lectures and social education activities during the four-month exhibition.
