New low-carbon tech, products displayed in Shanxi

The three-day 12th Shanxi Energy Conservation, Environmental Protection and Low-Carbon Development Expo concluded in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Oct 31. 

The expo, jointly sponsored by 11 departments of the Shanxi Provincial Government and the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Shanxi Committee, aimed to showcase new technologies, energy conservation and environmental protection products, and low-carbon development achievements and projects.

The 12,000-square-meter event featuring 600 booths was divided into 10 exhibition areas focusing on general achievements, energy conservation and environmental protection technologies and products, clean energy, new energy vehicles, prefabricated buildings, and finance. 

More than 10 Shanxi branches of Stated-owned enterprises (SOEs) administered by the central government and 30 SOEs administered by the provincial government, engaged in the coal, oil, chemical, metallurgy, manufacturing, and finance sectors, attended the expo. 

Through the exhibition, lectures, a summit and project matchmaking, the expo established a communication platform and accelerated the promotion and application of green low-carbon technology achievements.
