A cross-border e-commerce B2B direct export consignment from Huayuan Land Port Group's subsidiary, based in Taiyuan city in North China's Shanxi province, was declared at the local customs office for clearance and shipped to Hong Kong on Sept 18.

The exported knitted goods consignment fell under the new customs supervision code 9710, which came into effect in 2020 and is applicable to cross-border e-commerce B2B direct exports. It was the first time it had been used in Shanxi.

The procedures for the export consignment were all completed on a cross-border e-commerce platform independently developed by Huayuan Land Port Cross-border E-commerce Co.

It is said to have further streamlined the customs declaration procedures, in an initiative that will reduce logistics costs and provide support and guarantees for Shanxi's enterprises to expand their overseas markets and exports.
