Measures to boost Shanxi cultural, tourism and healthcare market
North China's Shanxi province recently issued measures to boost the local cultural, tourism and healthcare market.
The 12 measures, which will be in effect until the end of 2025, involve the construction of cultural tourism and healthcare demonstration zones, loan interest discounts for major cultural tourism and healthcare projects, support for cultural tourism and healthcare enterprises, the promotion of cultural tourism brands and the upgrading of scenic spots, and the development of the performing arts, film and television industries.
The 50 provincial cultural, tourism and healthcare demonstration zones that are constructed during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) will be given a one-time award depending on the scale of capital investment. Those with investment of over 1 billion yuan ($148.79 million) will be awarded 20 million yuan each.
For builders of major cultural, tourism and healthcare projects that obtain loans with a term of one year or more during the project's construction period, interest discounts will be granted.
In addition, the province will increase its support for provincial key cultural enterprises in transformation and upgrading, brand promotion and foreign cultural trade through project subsidies and interest discounts.
Furthermore, at least 200 million yuan will be used annually to promote the province's cultural tourism, especially cultural tourism marketing, to enhance the influence of Shanxi cultural tourism brands.
To support the development of the performing arts, film and television industries, subsidies will be given to local producers of key film and television works for script creation, folk custom collection, production, publicity, promotion and distribution.
