The Yungang Cultural Relics Protection Procuratorate and Yungang Grottoes Public Interest Litigation Service Center were established in Yungang district, Datong, North China's Shanxi province, on June 14. 

The government department will further strengthen the protection of public interest litigation in the Yungang Grottoes and surrounding areas, and establish a long-term mechanism for the protection of underground cultural relics and the prevention of light, water and dust pollution. 

It will also deepen cooperation with the Yungang Grottoes Research Institute, focusing on issues affecting the safety of cultural relics in the Yungang Grottoes, strengthen case handling, and solve practical problems related to cultural relic protection.
