The courts in the eight counties and county-level cities along the Yellow River and located in the city of Yuncheng, North China's Shanxi province, signed a framework agreement on a judicial cooperation mechanism for environmental protection in the Yellow River basin on May 31.

It is Shanxi's first framework agreement on judicial cooperation mechanism for environmental and resource adjudication between county-level regions in the basin.

The agreement focuses on centralized jurisdiction, cooperation in trial enforcement, information sharing, and linkage coordination.

The eight courts will establish and improve the coordination mechanism for environmental resource adjudication work in the Yuncheng section of the basin, and build an environmental resource adjudication work model that integrates judicial resource sharing, common governance of prominent issues, a common coordination mechanism, and negotiation of measures, with the aim of improving the ecology of the Yuncheng section of the basin and supporting the high-quality development of Yuncheng.
