Shanxi Dayu Bioengineering Co, based in Ruicheng county of North China's Shanxi province, was listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange on May 18.

The company has become Shanxi's second company to be listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange following Shanxi Keda Automation Control Co.

Since its establishment in 2014, Shanxi Dayu Bioengineering Co has been focusing on biotechnology research and the development of green, safe and efficient feed additives and products meant to promote growth, improve quality and replace antibiotics.

On the day of its listing, the company issued 15 million shares, and the funds raised will be invested in the construction of a micro-ecological preparation industrialization project and a marketing service center.

The listing is expected to help the company expand its production capacity and enhance its competitiveness.

There are three Shanxi companies currently under review by the Beijing Stock Exchange, and the province has also selected 35 key companies as backups for listing.

Pan Yuefei, deputy director of the Financial Work Office of Shanxi Provincial Government, said that Shanxi will accelerate the establishment of a base serving local companies looking to list on the Beijing Stock Exchange.

Shanxi is currently home to 49 companies in Shanxi that are listed domestically and overseas, including 42 A-share listed companies.
