The actual utilization of foreign capital in North China's Shanxi province in January and February was $367 million, up 15.3 percent year-on-year, according to the Shanxi Department of Commerce.

Seventeen additional foreign-invested enterprises were registered in Shanxi in the first two months, a year-on-year increase of 21.4 percent.

During this period, the actual utilization of foreign capital in the manufacturing industry increased 4.1 percent year-on-year, while capital used for the production and supply of electricity, gas and water grew 87.9 percent year-on-year.

The actual utilization of foreign capital in the information transmission, software and information technology service sectors increased 20.5 percent year-on-year.
