The Shanxi delegation to the National People's Congress (NPC) suggested China establish a national integrated computing power network hub in Shanxi at the NPC annual session in Beijing, which runs from March 5 to 11 this year.

According to the motion submitted by national legislators from the province, Shanxi is adjacent to the core areas of technological innovation and digital industries in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with an average network delay of only 10 milliseconds, and is the best region for national ministries, financial institutions and scientific research institutions to build data disaster backup centers.

It has unique innate advantages in terms of location, energy, climate, and networking. The data center industry has developed rapidly in the province in recent years, with several key indicators related to computing power ranking at the forefront of the country and first in Central China.

The Shanxi delegation urges the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to help Shanxi integrate into the national computing power hub system, and help Shanxi contribute to the construction of a collaborative innovation system of national integrated big data centers.
