North China's Shanxi province saw 1,547 new industrial enterprises above designated size – those with annual revenues of 20 million yuan ($3.17 million) or more – bringing the total of such enterprises to 6,834 in 2021, according to Shanxi Small Business Development Promotion Bureau on Feb 25. 

Last year, authorities responsible for the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises across the province systematically optimized policies and measures, and carried out on-site assistance and follow up services for enterprises, which facilitated the upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises. 

This year, Shanxi has set an annual target of 1,000 new industrial enterprises above designated size.

To achieve this goal, Shanxi Small Business Development Promotion Bureau has researched and formulated related work promotion mechanisms, and refined and decomposed its target tasks.

Each city in the province will establish a basic information database for industrial enterprises to expand in scale and grow larger and stronger.
