Shanxi sees rapid growth in foreign capital utilization

Nine foreign-invested enterprises were registered in North China's Shanxi province in January, a year-on-year increase of 12.5 percent.
According to the Shanxi Department of Commerce, the actual utilization of foreign capital at the provincial level was $264 million, up 28.9 percent year-on-year.
The actual utilization of foreign capital in the manufacturing industry increased 23.2 percent year-on-year, while capital used for the production and supply of electricity, gas and water grew 386.4 percent year-on-year.
Foreign capital for eight cities in the province was put in place. The provincial capital of Taiyuan had more than $100 million put in place, while the amount of foreign capital put int place in Datong, Shuozhou, Linfen and Lyuliang achieved positive growth year-on-year.
