Shanxi shares education development opportunities in Yellow River basin

Seven provinces and two autonomous region in the Yellow River basin jointly issued a plan for the coordinated development of education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) on Dec 2 in Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province. 

At the second Yellow River Basin Education High-Quality Development Forum held that day, Inner Mongolia, and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions and the provinces of Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, and Shandong issued a plan to create an educational community for cluster development in the Yellow River basin.

The Yellow River basin is an important distribution area for higher education resources in North China, and an important area for consolidating and expanding the achievements of education-driven poverty alleviation. 

According to the plan, the provinces and autonomous regions will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in basic education, higher education, technological innovation, and talent team building.

They will strengthen sharing and integration in "internet + education", jointly develop and share digital education resources, and establish a regional coordination mechanism for the comprehensive reform of education in the Yellow River basin.
