The Shanxi International Investment Promotion Association was recently established in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.

The association, the first of its kind in Shanxi, was jointly initiated by 47 enterprises and chambers of commerce in Shanxi, and was established with the approval of the Shanxi Civil Affairs Department.

It aims to create a normalized exchange and interaction platform for international and domestic individuals and organizations, to attract industries and projects to Shanxi, and to help Shanxi enterprises and products expand beyond the province and abroad. 

The association is now building a 5G-based multimedia live broadcast and big data platform and an online and offline exhibition and display platform to carry out matchmaking between regional chambers of commerce, industrial associations and foreign enterprises at home and abroad. 

It is also establishing a professional think tank and an industry database to provide professional and efficient services for the province's industrial innovation, investment, financing, policy guidance, and technology transformation needs, and developing a cross-regional arbitration and mediation center to provide legal services and a dialogue channel for business associations and enterprises.

In the future, the association will found special professional committees such as the investment promotion and innovation committee, the live broadcasting promotion committee, and the investment and financing working committee.
