Expo in Shanxi highlights agricultural new development

The 2021 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival and 7th China (Shanxi) Shanxi Agricultural Products Trade Expo (APTE) opened in Taigu district of Jinzhong city in North China's Shanxi province on Sept 23. 

The APTE, launched in 2009, aims to showcase new achievements and technologies in featured agriculture, promote trade in agricultural specialties, increase the popularity and influence of agricultural specialties, and accelerate the development of modern agriculture.

This year's expo at the Shanxi International Trade Center of Agricultural Products, with the slogan "brand leading to open up the market, green transformation to take a new road", features 12 exhibition areas covering 30,000 square meters. 

The expo showcases the history of Shanxi's agricultural development over the past 100 years, exhibiting the province's special agricultural products, agricultural high technology, new agricultural equipment, and rural cultural and tourism integration achievements.

More than 1,500 companies from 28 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China have brought over 7,800 types of exhibits in 19 categories, including beverages, aquatic products, agricultural machinery, intangible cultural heritage products, and folk crafts to the expo.
