The Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has been holding the Shanxi Brand Silk Road Tour (Northeast Asia) event during the 13th China-Northeast Asia Expo (CNEA Expo) in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, from Sept 23 to 27. 

The brand promotion event aims to promote investment and trade between North China's Shanxi province and Northeast Asia, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Shanxi and other provinces in China, fully demonstrate Shanxi's new image of promoting high-quality development in a comprehensive way, and further develop new channels for attracting investment and utilizing foreign capital. 

It includes activities such as exhibitions of Shanxi brands, China (Shanxi)-Northeast Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference, and related investment promotions. 

A total of 27 Shanxi enterprises engaged in equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, intangible cultural heritage and cultural creativity, and Shanxi specialties have been promoting and marketing their products to merchants and consumers from Jilin and Northeast Asia, and carrying out negotiations at the five-day expo. 

The CCPIT Shanxi Committee has arranged for Shanxi enterprises to take business trips to enterprises in Jilin during the expo. 

In addition, the China (Shanxi)-Northeast Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference on Sept 24 was attended by around 150 representatives of CCPIT branches in the cities of Shanxi and other Chinese provinces, development zones in Shanxi, companies from Shanxi, and business associations and enterprises in Northeast Asia. 

Shanxi's provincial capital of Taiyuan, the Changzhi High-tech Industrial Development Area, the Jincheng Economic and Technological Development Area, the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and Changchun Ou Ya Group Co carried out thematic promotions, introducing their featured industries and recommended investment projects, and encouraging cooperation with businesspeople in Northeast Asia during the conference.
