The 2021 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum (TELC) will be held online and offline in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 3 and 4, according to a press conference held by the Shanxi Provincial Government on Aug 18.

TELC is a national-level, international, and professional forum approved by the State Council in 2016. It has been successfully held four times and has developed a certain degree of influence in the energy field at home and abroad.

With the theme of "Energy, Climate and Environment", this year's TELC will set up an information release platform, hold roundtable interviews, forums, and online exhibitions to show the world China's major achievements in "energy, climate and the environment", and convey China's determination to promote green and low-carbon development and expand international cooperation.

The forum will invite about 300 international and domestic guests, including foreign politicians, senior officials from relevant United Nations agencies, ambassadors to China, heads of leading global energy companies, and domestic experts and entrepreneurs in the energy sector.

So far, more than 70 people from 24 countries' embassies in China, including Poland, Denmark, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Uruguay, and Ecuador, have confirmed that they will participate in the event.
