The Wusu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in the city of Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, has so far imported 1,279 kinds of cross-border e-commerce bonded commodities, according to Taiyuan Customs.

These bonded commodities include infant formula milk powder, cosmetics, health care products, maternal and child products, small household appliances, luggage, and wine.

The number of registered companies in Taiyuan engaged in cross-border e-commerce has increased to 43 from less than 20 since it became a pilot city of cross-border e-commerce retail imports last year. The companies include domestic agents and platforms companies, technical service providers, and those engaged in logistics, payment, and warehousing.

To further promote the construction of the China (Taiyuan) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Wusu customs, a subsidiary of Taiyuan Customs, has formulated 15 measures to support cross-border e-commerce based on the local situation.

According to the demands of enterprises and consumers, Wusu customs has established a new bonded retail business model for online shopping, effectively connecting e-commerce and offline consumption, and enhancing the shopping experience.

Products sold through the new bonded retail model of online shopping include many internationally renowned brands, and the products come from 12 countries and regions including the United States, France, Germany, and Australia.
