Bank supports Shanxi-Dutch agricultural exchanges

The Shanxi branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the ICBC Amsterdam Branch jointly held a special promotion for Dutch agriculture and agriculture in North China's Shanxi province on June 8.
Among those attending were Wouter Verhey, agricultural counselor at the Netherlands Embassy in China; Shen Yong, North China regional chief representative of The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency and Zhang Xiaoyong, China coordinator at Wageningen University & Research – a public university in the Netherlands.
They discussed bilateral economic and trade exchanges between China and the Netherlands, the Dutch agricultural sector, advanced agriculture technology and the general investment environment.
Representatives from Shanxi Shennong Technology Group, Shanxi Bonded Group, Shanxi Nonggu Kexin Co, Metazet FormFlex B.V, and Ridder Group made speeches and exchanged views on strengthening ties between the two parties in terms of exchanges in agricultural advanced technology and investment cooperation.
The head of the ICBC Shanxi Branch said the Netherlands was an important trading partner of Shanxi.
He said the bank would give full play to its resources in order to build a platform for further commerce and trade cooperation between Shanxi and the Netherlands, as well as to promote Shanxi businesses in their efforts to go global.
