Shanxi, Polish officials hold cooperation meeting

Lou Yangsheng, Party secretary of North China's Shanxi province, met Wojciech Zajaczkowski, Polish ambassador to China, in Shanxi's provincial capital of Taiyuan on May 20.

Poland was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Poland relations have maintained healthy and stable development. In recent years, Shanxi and Poland have continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Lou welcomed the ambassador and his entourage and briefly introduced Shanxi's overall pandemic prevention and control measures and socioeconomic development situation. 

He said that Shanxi is willing to deepen friendly exchanges with Poland and further strengthen and expand cooperation in various fields to benefit the people in both areas. 

Zajaczkowski was impressed by Shanxi's long history, profound culture and abundant natural resources and expressed an optimistic attitude towards Shanxi's transformation and development opportunities and future prospects. 

He said that he will actively promote pragmatic cooperation between Poland and Shanxi in the fields of green energy and environmental protection.
