The Shanxi High-quality Development Forum was held in Taiyuan, capital city of North China's Shanxi province, on April 18.

The forum was co-organized by Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, the Research Office of Shanxi Provincial People's Government and Shanxi Radio and Television Station, with the theme of the formation of the new development pattern and innovation-driven transformation. 

Six lecturers delivered keynote speeches covering Shanxi's high-quality transformation and development, its high-skilled workforce, new development patterns, the digital economy, as well as on the management of small and medium-size enterprises.

Among the more than 150 experts and academics who conducted exchanges and discussions at the forum were participants from the Counselors' Office of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC (National Academy of Governance), Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, as well as representatives of scientific research institutes and universities in Shanxi.

The Shanxi High-quality Development Forum is an upgrade from the Shanxi Economic Summit that was founded in 2002 and it is widely viewed as being an important platform that helps serve Shanxi's economic development.
