One-hundred and fifty-four provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship incubators for small and micro-sized enterprises in Shanxi province incubated 9,211 enterprises over the past three years, according to data released by the Shanxi Small Business Development and Promotion Bureau on Jan 18.

A survey conducted by the bureau showed that the 154 incubators attracted the settlement of 11,800 enterprises with 95,700 employees, business revenue of 23.4 billion yuan ($3.62 billion) and tax contributions of 1.1 billion yuan. 

Among the incubated 9,211 enterprises, 28 were listed on the Shanxi Equity Exchange Center and China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations.

To improve its level of innovation and entrepreneurship, Shanxi has been accelerating the organization and implementation of the cultivation plan for small and micro-sized enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship incubators. 

There are currently 205 provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship incubators for small and micro-sized enterprises.
