A new online platform for handling all business registration matters in North China's Shanxi province started operating on Dec 2.

The platform fully integrates the business processing systems of the various concerned departments. These are the departments of administrative approval, market supervision, public security, housing and urban-rural development, social security and taxation at the provincial, city and county levels. 

It gathers the information related to the establishment of enterprises on one platform, facilitating the information and data sharing of various departments. That is, all matters related to establishing a company can now be handled online on one platform after applicants are authenticated. 

The initiative is a move by Shanxi to further reforms of its business registration system. 

It's expected that the start-up time of a business at the provincial and municipal levels will be reduced to one working day, while the time taken registering an enterprise at the county and district levels will be reduced to within one working day.
