The average disposable income of residents in North China's Shanxi province in the first three quarters of the year hit 18,159 yuan ($2,703) per capita -- an increase of 5.3 percent over the same period last year and 1.4 percentage points higher than the national growth rate.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents in Shanxi was 25,549 yuan, an increase of 4.2 percent year-on-year and 1.4 percentage points faster than the national growth rate.

Meanwhile, the income of rural residents was 9,619 yuan, an increase of 6.6 percent year-on-year and 0.8 percentage points faster than the national growth rate.
