Yuncheng city in the southern part of Shanxi province in North China will focus on its development in six areas, according to its plan for 2020 discussed during the third session of the 13th People's Congress of Shanxi province on Jan 13-18.

The plan outlined that Yuncheng will give a priority to its industrial development by encouraging more new projects to locate and expand there.

As to the improvement of the environment, the city in the current year intends to build a green corridor along the Yuncheng section of the Yellow River. 

It will also further develop a fruit export platform, a national agricultural high-tech industrial demonstration zone and a fruit production area covering more than 666 square kilometers. 

In addition, in 2020 the city will accelerate the construction of modern comprehensive transport system and develop itself into a modern logistics base in southern Shanxi, as well as in central China. 

According to the plan, Yuncheng will also pay more attention to civil affairs to make locals lives safer and happier.
