The six-day 4th Shanxi Cultural Industries Fair wound up in Taiyuan city, capital of Shanxi province on Dec 10, according to the organizers.
They said the fair fully demonstrated the achievements of cultural system reform and the development of the cultural industry in Shanxi in recent years -- by focusing on the latest progress in culture and tourism integration, media integration and culture-technology integration.
The protection, inheritance and promotion of the Yellow River culture was also highlighted through the fair's exhibition planning, major events and cultural and art performances.
The organizers said the scale, quality and sales volumes of this year's fair had all set new records and the impact of specialization, marketization and branding had been further expanded.
More than 1,000 companies and 8,000 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions and 25 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across China exhibited over 10,000 kinds of items and products at the fair, which covered around 20,000 square meters.
During the six days, 266,000 spectators visited the fair, which saw on-site transaction volumes exceed 210 million yuan ($29.84 million).
Giving industrial exchanges, project cooperation and investment promotions full play, the fair launched 275 cultural industrial investment projects with a total investment of 164.6 billion yuan.
A total of 96 projects involving media integration, cultural tourism, cultural creativity, publishing and printing and animation -- with a financing amount of over 28 billion yuan -- were signed on the spot at the fair.
