Lyuliang accelerates big data development

The 3rd Lyuliang Big Data Industry Development Promotion was held in Lyuliang city, Shanxi province, from Aug 18 to 19.

The promotion was co-sponsored by the Lyuliang Party Committee, the Lyuliang government, Beihang University, the Beijing Institute of Technology, and the Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology.

More than 600 government leaders, academics in the field of big data, and entrepreneurs gathered in the city to discuss and offer suggestions for the development of the local big data industry.

Seven academics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, along with Hao Guangming, president of Huawei Global Wireless Network Marketing, gave speeches on intelligent cities, intelligent governance, energy big data, urban big data, and 5G technology.There were 19 projects with a total of 378 million yuan ($53.51 million) in investment signed at the promotion. The projects involve government affairs management, education, medical care, culture, tourism, transportation, and environmental protection sectors based on big data.

First launched in 2017, the annual big data industry development promotion has been held two times, with 17 out of the 25 projects signed at the second event in 2018 having been started in Lyuliang.
