There was style, pizazz and swirls as the ballroom dancing finals for the 2nd National Youth Games kicked off in Taiyuan on Aug 10 and finished on Aug 12. 

The three-day finals saw 10 gold medals won, with 446 athletes in 26 teams from across the country competing in five events including street dancing and Latin American dances. 

Shanxi province, as the host, sent a total of 22 entries from three local sports clubs to compete and won a gold medal. 

Ballroom dancing is a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. It's the first time that ballroom dancing has been a sport in the 2nd National Youth Games.
