The ten-day Chinese-style wrestling finals concluded Aug 6 in Shanxi province's Daixian county, a region famous for traditional wrestling.

A total of 488 athletes aged between 15 and 19, who are students of sports schools in 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across China, competed in the finals from July 28 to 31, with four teams from Shanxi province winning three gold, six silver and seven bronze medals. 

The finals, held Aug 3 to 6, involved 496 wrestlers, including 46 teams from professional sports clubs around the country, with 40 gold, 40 silver and 75 bronze medals awarded. Shanxi province won 12 gold, 12 silver and 22 bronze medals in the professional sports club category.
