The badminton finals for the 2nd National Youth Games kicked off in Changzhi city, in Shanxi province, on Aug 1. 

More than 150 judges and 192 athletes in 21 teams from across China attended the opening ceremony. 

The badminton finals are being held at the Changzhi Sports Center on Aug 1-16. A total of 263 are competing in the competition for the sports club category until Aug 5. On Aug 9-16, 31 teams with 568 athletes will compete against each other in the school sports category.  

Aside from the badminton finals, Changzhi is organizing a women's U16 football games for the 2nd National Youth Games on Aug 3-15 and three-a-side basketball games on Aug 1-5.
