The week-long 2nd Yangquan Culture Industry Expo concluded on July 18. It received 90,000 visitors and made nearly 1.2 million yuan ($174,465) in onsite sales.

With the catchphrase "culture industry leads economic transformation", this year's expo was aimed at boosting the cultural industry in Yangquan city through company presentations, product demonstrations, lectures, business matchmaking, and marketing meetings.

Companies from Nanjing, Beijing, and Taiyuan signed eight projects with companies based in Yangquan and signed 17.08 million yuan in investment intention agreements on the opening day alone.

The expo consisted of a main venue in downtown Yangquan and a corresponding venue in Pingding county. A total of 103 cultural companies and studios displayed more than 3,000 exhibits at the expo.

In addition to the regular exhibitions, six local counties and districts also showcased their unique cultures and industrial layouts by holding cultural performances, product presentations, and interactive activities.

In addition, a cultural industry cooperation meeting, a cultural industry bank-enterprise cooperation symposium, a tourism promotion meeting, 13 lectures, and a cultural and creative product design competition were also held during the expo.
